Save Fenway Park! is a non-profit, all volunteer organization made up of people who love historic Fenway Park. We are working to ensure that a renovated Fenway Park continues to provide the ultimate baseball experience for generations to come.

In January 1998, SFP! was founded by Boston residents and Red Sox Fans who treasure historic Fenway Park as the active home of the Red Sox. With the vital start up support from the Boston Preservation Alliance, Save Fenway Park! (SFP!) has grown from a handful of concerned fans into an organization with a mailing list of more than 5,000 supporters. SFP! incorporated in September 1998 and soon after received Federal tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Fenway's Historic PlaqueSave Fenway Park!'s mission is to preserve the unique character of Fenway Park while allowing for its modernization and expansion to meet contemporary needs and respecting the urban neighborhood surrounding the park. SFP! has publicized the threat to Fenway Park on a national level, alerted baseball fans and local officials to the feasibility of renovation and supported efforts to refurbish the ballpark and its immediate neighborhood. In addition to direct efforts, SFP! has worked in coalition with community, preservation, and citizen-interest groups (especially Citizens Against Stadium Subsidies) to identify the role and significance of Fenway Park in Boston's cultural landscape and as an important site amongst Boston's beloved historic places.
